Tigers Head Coach Tom Watkins will warn his troops to prepare for a backlash against Sheffield Steeldogs and Bracknell Bees this weekend.

Saturday sees The Tigers travel to Yorkshire for the third time this season, while on Sunday they entertain basement side Bracknell (5.30pm).

Both sides will be looking to prove a point against Telford, with Sheffield in particular still licking their wounds from an 11-1 midweek drubbing in Guildford.

And Watkins is expecting a strong showing from Andre Payette’s men.

The Tigers emerged from another four-point weekend with a warning from Head Coach Tom Watkins ringing in their ears: “play for 60 minutes, not just 20 minutes.”

A 4-1 win at home to Guildford Flames on Saturday was followed by a dramatic 3-2 overtime success against Manchester Phoenix on Sunday.

Those wins have given The Tigers a four-point advantage at the top of the English Premier League standings, after second-placed Basingstoke lost on Saturday.

Swindon Wildcats logo Last Wednesday night the Swindon Wildcats put a stop to their bad form of late with a well deserved overtime victory against the MK Lightning.

The night's fixture opened into a physical affair however it was not long before the game's scoring was broken. The Lightning's Micheal Farn would see his slapshot stay low from the blue line and beat netminder Stevie Lyle between the pipes to give the visitors the lead. However the home side found an almost instant reply as young British forward Ollie Betteridge would collect the puck in front of net for a 1-1 game.

Saturday night saw the Lightning overcome Basingstoke Bison 6-4, before a 7-4 success over Chelmsford Chieftains the next day.

Those wins mean Milton Keynes are now two-points clear in first place, albeit with both Guildford and Swindon still within striking distance.
