Telford Tigers could extend their lead at the top of the English Premier League to ten points when they host Hull Pirates tomorrow night.
The loss of Manchester from the EPL – and expulsion of their results – had seen a slight reduction in Telford’s lead over second-placed Milton Keynes.
But following the Lightning’s draw in Swindon last weekend, the Tigers increased their advantage to eight points – albeit with their title rivals having a game in hand.

English Premier League leaders Telford Tigers have signed forward Gareth O’Flaherty.
The 27-year-old last played for Telford during the 2013/14 campaign, collecting six points.
O’Flaherty started the season with Hull Pirates, before moving to Manchester Phoenix, who sadly folded last week.

The playoff competition for EPIHL this season will follow the published Rules of Competition with the top eight sides from the regular season qualifying for the playoffs.
EIHA Chairman Ken Taggart has confirmed that a planned rule change to punish teams who liquidate or enter administration will be enforced from next season.
A meeting of club owners sought to exclude Telford and Manchester from post-season play after their respective limited companies had been liquidated.

Tom Watkins believes the netminding partnership of Sam Gospel and Jon Baston is playing a key role in Telford Tigers’ bid for the EPL title.
Telford make the trip to face Hull Pirates tomorrow night with both goalkeepers having conceded just eight goals between them in the last four games.
That run has given the Tigers a nine-point lead over Milton Keynes at the top of the standings, although the Lighting have two games in hand.

Tigers coach Tom Watkins is relishing a return to normality for his men, as they shake off the controversy of the EPL Cup and return to league action this weekend.
Telford, who lead the EPL standings by five points from Milton Keynes, crashed out of the league cup at the semi-final stage last week, despite beating Peterborough 9-6 over two legs.
