Swindon Wildcats logo Three Swindon Wildcats players have been selected for the Great Britain Under 20s World Championships squad ahead of the tournament which will take place in Tallinn this December.

The Division 2A competition runs from Sunday 7th to Saturday 13th December 2014 and will see GB face hosts Estonia as well as Korea, Lithuania, Netherlands and Romania.

18-year old defenceman Callum Buglass along with forwards Ollie Betteridge (18) and Floyd Taylor (19) have received their called-up papers having impressed this season as well as during Septembers GB training camp. All three will now also feature against the Nottingham Lions in a warm up game being staged during November.

Speaking about his players selection, Wildcats head coach Ryan Aldridge said: "This is great news for all three of the players.

"They've all been playing well this season and fully deserve to be in the GB squad.

"Each one of them is a talented guy and they have great futures ahead of them, so the experience they will gain being part of the set-up will be massive in terms of their development."

Former Wildcats bench coach Peter Russell, who is currently head coach of the GB U20s was in positive mood after revealing his chosen players saying: "Selecting a team is never easy but that's the fun part. We can and will get the very best out of this group.

"They all want to be here and are proud to have the opportunity to play for GB.

"I like the feeling in the group and there work ethic.

"We have strong goaltending who will help our D-core and at time bail us our when required.

"Our offence has good speed, skill and decent size."
