Wightlink Raiders logoWightlink Raiders have announced this week that D-man Will Francis has left the team and that they have signed a new bench coach.

Will Francis, who was in his third season at Wightlink, has left the club to take up the role of player/coachat neighbouring ENL team Gosport & Solent as well as taking on coaching responsibilities with their junior teams.

The club's new bench coach, Simon Anderson, was previously head coach at Gosport & Solent and joins Wightlink after having been set to take up a coaching position in Canada, his new team being hit by financial troubles. Anderson has had previous experience as assistant coach with EPL rivals Swindon Wildcats as well as being head coach with the ENL Wildcats in their first season.
