Mo19 night at the Hangar this weekend

User Rating:  / 0

Slough Jets logo With just four days to go until the Slough Jets host the Mo19 evening former Jets legend Steve Moria announces the guests that will be joining him for the occasion. Steve will be accompanied by Joe Ciccarello, Brian Biddulph, Terry Miles and possibly Stewart Tait will be attending too.

Joe Ciccarello played for the Slough Jets between 2005 and 2009, making 165 appearances and returning 283 points as well as winning the Play-offs in 2007/08. Brian Biddulph was a Jet between 1987 and 1992 and is one of the club’s biggest characters. The big defenceman who always played the game hard but with a smile played 115 times and returned 60 points.

Terry Miles is a former club Captain whose career was sadly decimated by injury. Terry fought his way back from two career ending injuries. Stewart Tait is the final invited player and depending on his availability for Streatham due to injury will be attending on Saturday.

Steve himself played for the Jets from 2005 to 2009 as Player/Coach. He guided the Jets to their first trophy win since the 1998 league win when he, Joe Ciccarello and Nick Chinn lifted the Play-off trophy in Coventry in 2009. He played 137 games with 301 points being scored at 2.19 points per game.

Steve will be bringing with him items from the Mo19 leisurewear collection which will be available to buy on the night. The Mo19 range has developed from Steve’s testimonial in 2012 following his retirement from the game and now includes a diverse range including hockey gear, smart casual wear, hats, bags and even onesies! The whole catalogue will be available to browse and any gear unavailable on Saturday will be available to order for home delivery.

There’s £1 off admission to the game for anybody arriving in Mo19 merchandise and we are looking to arrange a photo of Steve, his guests and Supporters in Mo19 wear. This will take place in the second interval of the game.

There will also be fun and games with items of Mo19 leisure wear to be won.

Steve Moria commented; “I am looking forward to bringing MO19 to Slough and reacquainting myself with a lot of great people I met whilst playing for the Jets. The MO19 brand is still developing but has been extremely popular with those who have the MO-Wear. I hope to have a supporter from as many EPL Clubs as possible in their team jersey to participate in a shooting challenge. Is there a Flames, Bees, Bison, Tigers and Wildcats representative who can take part? It should be a fun night for everyone. Wear your MO19 gear on Saturday!”

Mark Denholm explained; “We are delighted that Steve has agreed to join us for this evening against Telford Tigers. He is one of the very best players to have played in the UK and through his Mo19 leisure wear has continued to be involved in the sport since his retirement in 2012. Steve has put a lot of planning in to this night so I hope it’s a success for him. He’s arranged some fun and fan involvement and I hope the photo is a great success.”

Mark continued; “With no game for our local rivals Bracknell and Guildford we are reaching out to the wider hockey community to come down and enjoy a night of fun supporting not necessarily the Jets but supporting Steve Moria, checking out his merchandise, wearing your own Mo19 wear or buying new items and taking part the photo opportunities as well as other fun and games. This game is about more than just the on the ice rivalry between Slough and Telford, this is a night of a celebration for the UK hockey family.”

Doors open at 5.30pm, Face-off is 6.30pm and tickets are available priced from £6.50 with £1 off the advertised prices for anyone in Mo19 wear and as always generous discounts for large group bookings are available.
