Slough Jets and Brad Watchorn part company

User Rating:  / 0

Slough Jets logo The Slough Jets are saddened to announce they have parted company with Brad Watchorn. Brad was brought in as an exciting addition to the team just ahead of the signing deadline and played 7 games for the Jets, his last being two weeks ago against Sheffield Steeldogs.

As Director of Operations Steve English explains; “Brad informed us after the Sheffield game that he had to leave in a hurry and then failed to show up for Sunday’s game at Basingstoke. We assumed there would be a genuine reason for this however we have not been contacted and told of any reason, nor has Brad attended training or any game since.”

Steve continued; “I am sure there is a genuine reason and as a club we hope that whatever the reason is that Brad can resolve it however, as a club, we cannot retain a player who has been unable, over the course of 11 days, to make contact and explain his absence. Had Brad informed us within a reasonable time period of the reason for his absence it is most likely we would have been able to work with him and give him the time off that he needed to resolve any issue however Craig has been unable to speak to Brad to ascertain what is happening and that is unacceptable to the club, especially in the current situation where every player is vital to the team performance.”

The Slough Jets wish Brad all the best for the future and thank him or his time with the club.
