Slough Jets add to the LINE up

Slough Jets logo Slough Jets Head Coach Craig Moran has continued his working holiday by completing a deal to bring Jamie Line back to the Hangar for the New Year. The forward will return to the club he last played for in 2009.

The 5’6 Luton born forward learned his hockey at Swindon and Bracknell, making his senior debut in 2005/06 with the Bracknell Bees while playing Under 16 and ENL. In 2006/07 he made a single appearance for the Under 19s at Bracknell to go with 38 appearances in the EPL returning 4+5. He also made his international debut in the same season playing 5 times for GB Under 18s. In 2007/08 he secured a two way contract with the EPL Bees and EIHL Bison scoring 4+6 in the EPL and making 7 appearances in EIHL together with 5 more GB Under 18 games.

In 2008/09 after 35 more games with Bracknell Bees he made a mid season swap to the then play-off champion Slough Jets where he returned 7+7 in 21 starts in the red, white and blue of the Montem Lane based team.

He followed the outgoing coach Steve Moria to Basingstoke for 2009/10 with 15 more points from 50 games before agreeing a two way contract with Milton Keynes Thunder and Lightning yielding 12 points in the ENL and an assist in the EPL.

With 4+4 in 2011/12 at Milton Keynes and 4+2 in 2012/13 at Peterborough Jamie to a break from the game to concentrate on life away from hockey but he is now ready to return to the ice and continue his hockey career.

With a new player added to the line-up Head Coach Craig Moran said; “Talking to Jamie over the Christmas holiday I am please that “6’9 Jamie Line” will be wearing a Jets jersey again for the rest of the season. Jamie is a hard working forward who never gives up and I know he will bring a lot to the team. I’m very much looking forward to working with him in 2014.”

Jamie’s registration process has been initiated and he will link up with the team as soon as the registration is complete.

Jamie stands at 5 foot 6 and weighs 168lbs. He shoots right handed. Previous clubs: Bracknell Bees, Basingstoke Bison, Milton Keynes Lightning, Milton Keynes Thunder, Peterborough Phantoms.
