Slough Jets logo The Slough Jets are incredibly saddened to announce that they will bid farewell to three more players after this Sunday’s game against Basingstoke Bison.

Ciaran Long, Dan Davies and Lee Richardson will join previously announced Dan Scott in leaving the Montem Lane based team this weekend.

Ciaran, a former play-off winner with the Jets, returned to the team midway through last season and was one of Slava Koulikov’s priorities to re-sign for the 2013/14 campaign. Ciaran is having his career best season to date and is currently leading the Jets’ scoring this season with 15+21 at 1.38 points per game.

Dan Davies is a former Slough Junior Jet who transferred to Bracknell before being brought back to the Hangar by Peter Russell and has gone on to be one of the best British forwards in the EPIHL. He has twice been a play-off winner, once a cup winner and once a cup finalist with the Slough Jets and has racked up 7+20 to date this season.

Lee Richardson was a summer signing for Slava Koulikov joining the Jets just 26 games ago. A versatile player, capable of playing up front or in defence his great two way game has been a real asset to the Jets so far this season as have his 10 assists.

These three latest announcements join Club Captain Dan Scott who announced his decision to leave last week. 21 year old Dan is a physical defenceman, who plays both the puck and the body well and plays with maturity well in advance of his years. This season he has netted twice to go with three assists from his 23 games to date.

Speaking on these departures Steve English said; “Coming on the back of Dan Scott’s announcement last week these three further departures are heart breaking for the Jets and I’m sure the fans. All four players are popular players, all four are valuable assets and we’re sad to see them go. On behalf of the club we’d like to thank them all for their efforts over their times with the club and wish them the very best in their continuing careers.”

The difficult task of replacing these departures is already well underway with our coaching staff.
