Slough Jets logo The Slough Jets are saddened to announce that recently appointed Club Captain Dan Scott is leaving the team following an approach from another EPIHL team.

Director of Operations, Steve English, said; “We, as a club, are saddened firstly that Dan has been approached and made an offer that he could not refuse while under contract in a disrespectful manner and obviously secondly that he has taken up that offer. Slava and the management put great faith in Dan in appointing him club captain following the departure of Michael Wales and we are all left saddened at his decision to leave us within weeks of his promotion.”

Steve English went on to explain; “Our Coaching staff have made mid season signings in previous seasons but we have only conducted negotiations with players that have approached us. The respectful time for approaching players is in the closed season when players are not under contract. It is for this reason that we have had such difficulty in searching for both forward and defensive replacements for the team.”

Team owner Ghislaine Nassif added; “We are all in shock at this revelation and I’m sure the fans are too. We’d ask everyone to keep calm and continue your valuable support as we search to bring in replacement players to strengthen the team following this latest development.”

Dan will serve a 2 week notice period with the club and his last game will be Sunday 15th December against Basingstoke Bison.
