Two more in at Romford

User Rating:  / 0

Romford Raiders have added two more players to their roster, re-signing forward Michael ‘MD’ Timms for his third season and bringing in Australian D-man Alastair Band.

Timms returns to the Raiders after a mixed season last year. A spokesman for the Raiders commented that "Timmsy had a patchy season last year, but he seemed to get a new lease of life when Jesse came in". Described on the Raiders website as one of the best skaters and stick handlers on the roster, Timmsy was said to be very happy to be re-joining the organisation.

Alistair Band is a new signing for the Raiders. Born in Sydney, Australia., Band played with the juniors at Haringey before stepping up to the ENL with the Greyhounds and the Lee Valley Lions before taking a break from UK hockey then returning to Haringey. The Raiders spokesman describes Band as a stay-at-home D-man and says that they don't expect too many points from him, adding that "He's also a big, strong guy and we know he is very capable of looking after himself and his team mates".
