EIHA Board looking to appoint new directors

EIHA logo The English Ice Hockey Association (EIHA) Board is seeking to recruit senior people who have the sport of Ice Hockey at their heart. Our role is to provide independent, unbiased advice to stakeholders that reflects the views of our members; to promote ever greater levels of participation in and awareness of our sport, providing a high quality service to members. Our membership covers a very broad spectrum – from junior, senior, university, recreational and professional teams.

We see it as a key part of our role to ensure that all who contribute, whether volunteers or elite athletes, have an effective and influential voice.

We are looking to appoint two Independent Directors and are now inviting applications.

We need individuals with strong leadership skills who can continue to develop and influence the strategic focus and direct the organisation towards its future. You would need to be able to make a commitment to the EIHA and devote the necessary time, have strategic vision, independent judgement, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak your mind.

This year, we are looking for candidates who have skills in one or more of the following areas:
• Finance
• Legal
• Communications and Marketing

And, bring experience from one of the following sectors:
• Private sector
• Public sector
• Voluntary Sector
