Bracknell Bees logo Precision Sports Marketing Limited (PSM) are pleased to release results for our “Join the Swarm” campaign to increase match night attendance.

PSM are announcing today an overall 30% rise in match night attendance for home games played between September and January when compared with the same period from the 2012/13 season. Promotional programs with BBC Radio Berkshire, Groupon, Time 106.6, Reading 107, Berkshire Media Group combined with an aggressive approach to attendance from schools, colleges and other youth groups are increasing crowds.

“To be able to announce such a sustained increase in match night attendees makes me very proud’”, hailed Andrew Cross, Chairman. “My gratitude goes out to all supporters, rink management, match night staff, the Supporters Club, off-ice officials and individuals like Steve Merry and John Slater who have all gone the extra yard to make the match night experience special. The attendance at the Christmas game against Guildford Flames saw more people watching the Bracknell Bees than are able to attend a game at any other rink in the EPIHL. That is something everyone should be proud of.”

Ben Beeching, General Manager and Director of Hockey, commented, “Lukas Smital has got this team playing with a pride and passion that is there for all to see. The current roster are hungry for success! We have won over 50% of the games played since Lukas took over and find ourselves on a five game winning streak. Reaching the play offs is now a real possibility. The noise our home crowd is a major factor.”

PSM are also breaking with tradition and releasing further details of the attending crowds. “One aim this season is to increase the number of families attending match nights,” explained Cross. “I am pleased to confirm that, when compared to the same period last year, physical attendance by families and under 16’s have increased by 64%. Whilst adult attendees have remained broadly the same, the increase in families and juniors attending games is outstanding. The hard work everyone has put in to promote and provide the match night experience is really paying off.”
