It has been confirmed that, over the EPL Play Off weekend, final agreement was reached which confirms Basingstoke Bison as an EPL team for next season.

With this announcement, owners Planet Ice can start to plan for the 2009/10 season and have already made the first move, announcing in the local press that they have signed ex Slough Jets player-coach Steve Moria to fill the same role in Basingstoke.

Moria returns to Bison after having held the same role for two seasons from 2002 to 2004, a period which included their best showing in the Elite League, and in addition to his player-coach role will also be the club's director of hockey.
