Basingstoke Bison logo In front of a packed Basingstoke Arena Bar, the Paul Baldwin Agencies Basingstoke Bison announced that Aaron Connolly will be the new captain for the club.

Those in attendance were also delighted with the news that Grant Rounding and Stuart Mogg are returning to the Stampede - as Doug Sheppard's plans for the 2015/16 season continue to come together.

Photo supplied by Basingstoke Bison22-year-old Connolly has been a stand-out player for the Herd since joining at the start of the 2013 season.

A natural leader, the forward will take over from Nicky Chinn and look to make his own stamp on the team.

Joining Aaron in the line-up for next season are the Basingstoke-bred pairing of Grant Rounding and Stuart Mogg.

Grant joined the club at the start of last season, making an immediate impact with his all-action style of play as he fulfilled a childhood dream for playing for his local team.

Stuart is another shining example of our junior development programme before joining the senior team in the middle of the 2012-13 season - going on to developing into a promising defenceman during the last campaign.

Supporters on the night also heard fantastic sponsorship news, with Paul Baldwin Agencies returning as title sponsors, SMART taking over as provider of vehicles to the team, and the return of Minuteman Press. More details on all sponsorship deals will be released in the coming weeks.
