Tigers coach Tom Watkins hailed his side’s “grit and character” after they twice came from two goals behind to beat Hull Pirates 7-4 on Saturday night.
Victory at Telford Ice Rink maintained the Tigers’ unbeaten home record, ahead Sunday’s pre-Christmas trip to face Peterborough Phantoms.
Watkins, who lost both Milan Kolena and Doug Clarkson late in the game, was happy to see them overcome a string of setbacks.

Telford Tigers rounded off a gruelling run of three games in five days with a dramatic 4-3 win over Guildford Flames on Sunday night.
Victory at Telford Ice Rink followed away wins in Sheffield and Swindon, as the Tigers retained their eight-point lead at the top of the EPL.
And with the Shropshire men having a shorthanded squad for all three games, head coach Tom Watkins was proud of their efforts on Sunday.

Coach Tom Watkins said “key moments” proved to be the difference in Telford Tigers’ 6-3 win over Sheffield Steeldogs on Wednesday night.
Telford now lead the English Premier League standings by eight points, albeit with second-placed Milton Keynes having two games in hand.
The turning point at Ice Sheffield proved to be a Steeldogs five-on-three powerplay late in the first period, as the Tigers killed a string of penalties from the hosts.
