Ben Campbell bagged a Hat Trick and Tom Duggan scored the winner 38 seconds into overtime to lift the Flames to a 6-5 win over the visiting Peterborough Phantoms. In the schedule finale at Basingstoke, however, the newly crowned League champion Bison scored a couple of unanswered opening period goals to secure a multi goal lead they would never fully relinquish on the way to a 3-1 win. Next up for Spectrum’s men is a visit to Swindon on Saturday ahead of the return leg Sunday on home ice in the 2 game aggregate playoff quarter final.

A tight game early in the 3rd was pushed aside with 3 straight Flames goals that nailed down a 6-2 win over the visiting Manchester Phoenix. 24 hours later at Manchester, it was Phoenix turn for a 3 goal with no reply show when they recovered from a 4-2 3rd period deficit and secured a 5-4 overtime win over the travelling Surrey side.

With the heavy lifting done in a 9-1 1st Leg victory, the Flames are officially Cup champions after a 5-3 road defeat that completed a 12-6 aggregate Cup Final win over Peterborough Phantoms. Exactly as Leg 1 started, Marcus Kristoffersson bagged an 8th minute goal to put the Flames ahead 1-0, but the Phantoms levelled the match tally before period close with an Ales Padelek strike at 13:40.

A late powerplay goal tied it for the Flames and secured a table point, but a little over a minute into overtime the Wildcats grabbed the extra offering with a Corey McEwen goal that finalised a 3-2 win over the visiting Spectrum club. In the weekend closer on home ice, the Flames fell behind by a pair of goals early, but Janis Ozolins and Jez Lundin, who each had a 3 point evening, led a spirited reply that got those back and more during a 6-3 win over Hull Pirates.

A sold out Spectrum watched as Ben Campbell had a Hat-trick and Lee Esders scored late to ensure a blown lead still converted to a win with a 6-5 success over the visiting Sheffield Steeldogs. The Telford Tigers, however, just 24 hours later, brought the Flames 10 game winning run to an abrupt halt with a barrage of scoring in the back half of the game that helped the Shropshire outfit deliver a decisive 7-3 win over Surrey’s men.
