Tuomas Santavuori had a goal and a couple of assists and the Flames never trailed as the clubs traded goals all night long during a 4-3 win in front of a near capacity Spectrum crowd. Santavuori kicked it off for the home team when he buried one just 68 seconds into the contest. The Bison recovered in the 16th minute on a Joe Rand shot that beat Mike will to get through 20 minutes even at a goal each.

In a rough start, the Flames spotted Peterborough a 4 goal 1st period lead and there was no recovery from there as the Phantoms cruised to a 6-1 win over the visiting Spectrum side. Less than 3 minutes in, Darius Pliskauskas had the Phantoms on the board.

A pair of late 1st period Milton Keynes Lightning goals transformed a 2-1 deficit into 3-2 lead they would eventually extend with unanswered singles in each of the periods that followed for a 5-2 win over the visiting Guildford Flames ice hockey team. In response, Dean Skinns turned aside all but a single, and Ben Campbell had a couple of goals, as the Flames took to home ice on Sunday night and delivered a 3-1 win over the visiting Swindon Wildcats.

A late Andrew Hemmings goal completed a 3rd period 2 goal deficit recovery and forced overtime before penalties kicked in where Tuomas Santavuori, Tom Duggan and Jens Eriksson teamed up for a perfect 3 goals on 3 shots to deliver a 3-2 home win over the visiting Sheffield Steeldogs. Out on the road 24 hours later, Danny Meyers had a point in 4 of the first 5 Flames goals, and Spectrum’s men answered a brief Pirates surge in the final frame to deliver a 7-4 win over Hull.

The Flames blew open a 1 goal game through 40 minutes thanks to 6 3rd period strikes against just a single reply on their way to an 11-5 win over the visiting Manchester Phoenix. Andy Mckinney opened the goalfest at 3:48 and Jens Eriksson had them up a pair at 13 minutes. Gareth O’Flaherty scored at 15:39 to pull the visitors within a goal by the end of the frame.
