Basingstoke Bison logo The Paul Baldwin Agencies Basingstoke Bison can reveal their fixtures for the 2015/16 EPIHL season, which gets underway on Saturday 12th September.

The Guildford Flames will be the first visitors to the Basingstoke Arena, with our Surrey rivals making the trip from down for a 6.30pm face-off, a week after the challenge match between the sides.

Peterborough will be the first road trip for the Herd in the new campaign on 13th September, before the Bison face a tough weekend against the Manchester Phoenix (Home) and Telford Tigers (Away).

The next time the Guildford Flames make the trip to the Basingstoke Arena will be on a Friday night (16th October), as part of a new initiative which aims to reduce the number of Sunday home matches the club will have to play.

We have also secured Friday night games against the Milton Keynes Lightning (January 22nd) and Swindon Wildcats (February 12th)

We believe that Friday nights will be more beneficial to our younger supporters, who may have previously missed games due to late finishes on a Sunday before school, and will also prove popular with groups for a 'Big Works Night Out' at the Basingstoke Arena.

A busy festive period will see the Herd play three games in three days, with a home game against M3 rivals the Bracknell Bees on 27th December sandwiched by trips to Swindon and Guildford, before bringing in the New Year with a double header against the Peterborough Phantoms, with the home game taking place on 2nd January.

The Bison end their campaign as they started it, with a home game against the Guildford Flames on 20th March, before the playoff quarter-finals will decide who will make the trip to Coventry over the weekend of April 2-3.

'It's always an exciting time of the year when the fixtures for the new season come out as it means the new campaign is just around the corner,' reflected Bison Director of Hockey Doug Sheppard.

'We can't wait to get going in what should be an exciting season. With new initiatives like four pre-season games and the introduction of Friday night matches, there is plenty to look forward to.

'Our games over the festive period look particularly busy. It's continued proof that our fans are some of the best travellers to local games and we hope you will continue to support us in the upcoming campaign.'
